Now it's Prince William the royal rule breaker, in the most adorable way.
Selfies are not done with the British royals, considered to be bad form. William has bent these rules, but went all in stopping for a fan during a visit to Ireland's County Kildare, about an hour outside of Dublin, on Wednesday.
Jennifer Malone, with shamrocks painted onto her face, handed the prince a small bunch of daffodils and asked for a selfie, to which William obliged.
Even William's generally scowling security detail can be seen smiling while looking on during the cute moment. Jennifer's mother Donna Malone posted the photos on Twitter and wrote, "A really nice guy."
Others Twitter respondents pointed out the obvious. "Very good of Jennifer to oblige him with a selfie!" wrote one.

Prince William and Duchess Kate: Went to Ireland for first official royal visit
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s were on their second day of their historical Ireland visit, their first official tour, visiting a residential facility run by the social justice charity Extern, when the happy photoshoot took place.
Before William gets too carried away with having his picture taken with Jennifer, he's not the first famous guy to have the honor. Donna posted a selfie Jennifer took with Aussie actor Hugh Jackman, calling it "definitely one of Jennifer's highlights from 2019."
Jackman had posted the photo on Instagram saying, "Hi Jennifer. Thanks so much for taking a picture with me. You’re awesome. Love HJ."
