The closing of the Northern border for non-essential needs may cause a problem for one top WWE Superstar who would need to fly from Canada into the United States for WrestleMania.
It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE Champion Brock Lesnar lives in Saskatchewan and he may run into some issues getting into the States.
Lesnar is advertised to appear on Raw on Monday but that was booked before the travel ban was imposed. On SmackDown, WWE advertised him again for Monday’s Raw so either the issue to get Lesnar has been worked out or he has already flown into the United States or WWE is working on a backup plan.
There are others, such as The Singh Brothers, who will be affected by the ban. In a tweet, they noted that getting to work will be a lot harder for them.
In regards to Kevin Owens, he won’t have any issues because he no longer lives in Canada and currently resides in Florida.
If WWE plans on taping WrestleMania matches late next week then they have very little time to figure things out in regards to Lesnar’s travel. WWE is planning on taping all of the remaining Raw and SmackDown episodes leading up to WrestleMania by next week. There is no word on when the Mania matches will be taped but there is heavy speculation that some or all will be taped by the end of next week at the Performance Center.
Lesnar is currently scheduled to defend the WWE Championship at WrestleMania against Drew McIntyre.
