Caitlyn Jenner claims that she and Khloe Kardashian haven’t spoken in five or six years — and Kardashian is reportedly hurt and confused by that statement. Kardashian hasn’t responded personally on the matter but a rep for Jenner says there’s no beef between them.
Jenner says it’s been years since she and Kardashian spoke
Fans knew that there had been some tension between Jenner and Kardashian, but Jenner seemed to admit during an episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! that things are much worse than many believed.
Jenner discussed her relationship with Kardashian during the celeb reality show, sharing that they had a falling out after she released her memoir — and things never got better.
According to Jenner, things between her and Kardashian weren’t in a good place even before her book came out.
Jenner explained how the rift with Kardashian began when Jenner told each of them she was transitioning, noting: “The only one that was really, and still, even to today can’t quite figure it out was Khloe. Khloe, for some reason, was pissed off about something through this whole process.”
Jenner confessed, “It’s been five or six years and I really haven’t talked to her since. We were really close, I raised her since she was five years old, I really don’t know what her issues are. I really don’t know.”
Rumors of an ongoing feud resurfaced
Most fans were under the impression that things between the two were fine, given that Kardashian said as much during a May interview with Laura Wasser for an episode of her Divorce Sucks podcast.
At the time, Kardashian shared that she and Jenner were on good terms: “I’m fine with Caitlyn. I saw Caitlyn recently, trying to think when, but yeah when I see Caitlyn it’s fine. I think we’ve really come a long way. It was a struggle for all of us… not because she was transitioning. I think from just how it was all handled.”
Kardashian didn’t, however, show up to Caitlyn’s 70th birthday party, though it seemed she squashed any rumors of a feud by sharing on her Instagram Story that she had filmed a commercial that day.
Kardashian is reportedly confused about the claim
Given what Kardashian had said about Jenner earlier this year, it’s easy to understand that Jenner’s claim might have come out of left field.
According to a report from TMZ, Kardashian was “completely blindsided” and “genuinely confused” about Jenner’s claims. Sources told TMZ she “rejects the notion they’re still beefing,” and that Kardashian “was completely supportive of Caitlyn’s transition at the time” but things became tense “when Caitlyn took shots at Kris in her memoir.”
Sources told TMZ that “she’s hurt by Caitlyn’s accusation there’s tension… there’s no bad blood from Khloe’s side.” Further, a spokesperson for Jenner told Elite Daily: “Caitlyn and Khloe don’t have any beef, feud, or drama. Caitlyn just isn’t as close with Khloe as they used to be, but there is certainly no feud.”
