Let’s admit it, phone mounts have become a must-have these days when cycling, not only because keeping them in a pocket or in a backpack isn’t very convenient, but also because most people use mobile devices for navigation.

And of course, this growing need for such an accessory has turned phone mounts making into a continuously expanding industry, with lots of designs available out there available from as low as $1 on the likes of eBay and Aliexpress.

Loop Mount, however, is a different type of phone mounts, as its purpose is to securely hold your phone while cycling, but at the same time, to remain as discrete as possible.

Made from metal, Loop Mount relies on strong springs that clamp any mobile device in place, but the manufacturer explains that you’re not recommended to use it for off-road riding. Unfortunately, it can only be used with the phone in landscape mode, but the second-generation model would also come with support for portrait.

As for what phones you can use, this small mount has been developed from the very beginning to work with the majority of popular devices, both old and new, small and big. So for example, the 4-inch iPhone SE fits the Loop Mount just fine, but so does the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Samsung Galaxy Note10 Plus and Google Pixel XL owners can also use this mount.

There are obviously some limitations concerning the handlebar sizes, and we recommend you check out the product’s Kickstarter page here. Loop Mount is currently up for crowdfunding, but the $25,000 goal has already been exceeded, as the campaign reached over $210,000 from nearly 3,200 backers.

When it enters mass production, the mount should be available for approximately $40 in silver or black, with the manufacturing team promising to ship anywhere in the world. Kickstarter backers get the device for just $30 as part of an earlybird special offer.
