Miranda Lambert and her husband Brendan McLoughlin will soon be “livin’ like hippies.”
After spending several weeks at their farm outside of Nashville, Lambert and McLoughlin are preparing to hit the road in their brand new Airstream.
Lambert took to Instagram to show off their latest purchase, a 2020 Airstream Globetrotter. The superstar lovingly referred to the airstream as their “family member” and shared that they plan to call it “The Sherriff.”
She went on to explain that they decided to make the purchase amid her long break from the road.
“Sunday thoughts. When people ask me questions about all the traveling I’ve done, my answer is pretty much the same every time. ‘I’ve been everywhere but I haven’t seen much of anything.’ I’ve been touring for 19 years and most times we just roll in, play our show, and roll to the next town. I’ve only gotten to spend some real time in a few of the places I’ve been,” she wrote.
“After spending these last few months at home (a much needed break and time to nest❤️) I realized something,” she continued. “Just because I can’t travel and play shows doesn’t mean I can’t travel and make music. I have the most amazing travel companion, my husband, and we decided to add a family member.”
“The Sherriff” joins “Wanda the Wanderer,” a refurbished airstream that Lambert often takes on tour.
“I’ve been a vintage trailer collector for years and this is my very first new one. I’m letting go of a few vintage to make room for adventure in this silver gem! I don’t like change but I’m learning to embrace it,” she admitted. “Until I get back on Elvira and tour, I’ll be pulling this rig all over the country. I know that seeing the world through the windshield again will bring creative vibes.”
In her Instagram post, Lambert also gave fans a quick video tour of the airstream, showing off the inside, which features a full shower.
“Real shower, can’t even believe it,” the “Bluebird” singer says in the clip.
After being forced to reschedule the remaining dates of her Wildcard Tour due to COVID-19, Lambert has been laying low at home with Brendan McLoughlin. The superstar recently shared that she’s been keeping busy with projects around the house, gardening, cooking and “just being together quietly.”
