If you can tell us what these vintage gadgets do, you're either a Boomer or a genius - MeTV

13/14. Missed the cigarette lighter. Non-smoker here.

10/14 most of these were easy

13/14 - I couldn’t tell that #8 was a cigarette lighter, even when I enlarged the picture lol.

I'm not a Boomer, but I still got 12/14. Missed #3 and #8.

10 out of 14. I'm a Gen Xer.

Gen X-er here. 12/14.
Why would they assume only a "Boomer" would know what those things are?

Most of those things came out of the50s and sixties

14/14 😲 I can’t believe I only had to guess two.

13/14 we had that radio for bathroom in the 70’s! 😂

"You got 12 out of 14. You're a winner! You deserve a prize! May I interest you in a radio specifically
for your bathroom?"

#13 the massage machine actually dates back more than 100 years ago. Because sex education
by it's nature was very limited back then, and the needs of women weren't even considered
by oblivious husbands, frustrated women went to doctors for "relief" and were seen to
by doctors using the machine shown and variations of it.
People pining for the good old days should know they could be plenty strange.
Though the doctors must have made a lot of new friends.

wow! thanks for that lil tid bit... i did not know that... im sure those docs made a lot of friends...lol

You can say that again. Many men then were literally unaware of the female counterpart
to their own moment of satisfaction, and never put 2 and 2 together when the Mrs. was
suddenly going to the doctor 4 times a week for mysterious 'ladies issues'.
After all they only existed to have babies and clean the house.
That's why it was an eye opening experience for English ladies during the Raj in India
to discover the Indian embrace of sexuality and women's equal part in it.
Throw in the Kama Sutra and when these ladies returned home to England their
enlightenment in this area became part of the drive for women's rights and
being able to vote. They wanted to be fully realized human beings just as the
men were. Sorry for going off on a tangent, but I used to turn in the same paper
on this subject in different classes for years in school.

Not a boomer just old Gen X.

I must be getting old hahaha 11 out of 14

12 out of 14. Some of these carried over into the 80s. And I always did wonder what happened to vacuuming sealing things. Saw commercials everywhere in the late 2000s/early 2010s and now you don't hear about it anymore.

Actually I still see versions of the sealer evennow

My dad had 3 of these things, the massager, the shoe shiner and the radio in the bathroom. I remember my friends thought that the radio was really special.

13/14. I confess I had no clue on #8. 🤷‍♀️

13/14. The only one I missed was the cigarette lighter. Never saw one like that.

Same here, never saw that kind. 13/14

Same with me! My dad was the only smoker in my family and he always used matches, so not an expert on cig lighters. 🚬

I remember that little circle glowed like a car lighter

11/14 I am very old but still had to guess some of this weird stuff. The old days were not slays so great!

12/14. Missed 7 and 8.. could not tell what that was and my parents had a lot of cigarette lighters, the kind you refill.
The massage thing looks dangerous.

I imagine it was popular with the ladies

🤭

13/14. I remember using or seeing most of these. Man do I feel old.

13/14! Missed 8! And most of the alternative answers were stupid!

13 of 14. We had a lot of these in my home growing up. The lighter question got me, never saw one. BTW, I'll pass on that toilet paper radio gadget. I don't consider my toilet to be a great place for musical recreation!!!

Same one I missed. Never saw one of those before.

Adblock test (Why?)
